At the Senta Clinic, Dr. Perry Mansfield specializes in diseases related to Head and Neck Oncology. Nationally recognized leader in skull base disorders, Dr. Mansfield created and developped one of the premiere centers for skull base surgery in the Southwestern US. His role as a head and neck oncologist focuses on tumors of the anterior and middle skull base such as squamous cell carcinomas and other disorders of salivary glands & sinuses.

Dr. Mansfield is also a recognized leader in the development of minimally invasive procedures related to endoscopic removal of skull base tumors such as pituitary tumors. He has helped pioneer 3-dimensional endoscopic navigational techniques related to otolaryngology and skull base disorders.
Perry T. Mansfield, M.D., was born in 1962 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and grew up in Toronto. He obtained his medical school degree with honors and dean's list designation from the University of Toronto in 1987. This was followed by a residency in otolaryngology head and neck surgery with board certifications in both the United States and Canada in 1994 and 1993 respectively.
Dr. Mansfield completed a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery as related to head and neck oncology at the University of Toronto. He joined the private practice of Dr. R. Stuart Weeks in 1993 in San Diego County. He helped develop and was the program medical director for the Center for Skull Base Surgery which was a joint program between University of California San Diego and Alvarado Hospital Medical Center. He directed this program for several years before participating in the development of the SENTA Medical Clinic, a private practice clinic dedicated to the treatment of disorders that affect the skull base.
Dr. Mansfield is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and the Canadian Board of Otolaryngology. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Canada. At Alvarado Hospital he is Chief of Staff elect, past Chief of Surgery, Chief of Skull Base Surgery, Director of Head and Neck Oncology, and Director of Speech and Swallowing Disorders. He is the immediate past president of the San Diego County Society of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. Honors include membership in the AAO/HNS, SDCMS, CMA and the North American Skull Base Society.
Dr. Mansfield has authored or presented numerous scientific works focused on head and neck oncology and skull base disorders and has been and continues to be an invited guest of many local, regional, national, and international societies.

My interests span from classical opera to vintage car collection and restoration. I have a great phylanthropic interest as President of The Steven Prewitt Skull Base Disease Foundation. This Foundation is dedicated to the education, treatment, and cure of skull base diseases. |
